Cancellation, Withdrawal and Returns Policy
Version 1.10, last updated: October 1, 2026
Versione italianaThis Returns Policy summarizes, for ease of reference, the provisions of Articles 5.7, 10, 11, 12 and 13 of the Terms and Conditions of Sale of torrinijewels.com, which prevail in the event of any discrepancy. Capitalized terms have the meaning given to them in the Terms.
1. Creations made to order
No Torrini Creation is kept in stock for sale through the Site, and any pieces on display in the boutique are not intended for distance sale: these are non-prefabricated goods, made on the basis of the Client's individual choice. Each Creation, designed by the Maison, is made individually in Florence by master artisan goldsmiths to whom the Maison entrusts its making, after the order, in the model chosen by the Client, with the gemstone that characterizes it, in the configuration selected by the Client (among those proposed or agreed before the order) and, where provided, in the size indicated by the Client, with a personal engraving where requested. Once made, the Creation is expressly intended for the Client who ordered it: the cancellation and returns regime that follows reflects this nature.
2. Cancellation within 48 hours
The Client may cancel the order, without giving any reason, within 48 hours of the Order Confirmation, which for orders paid by bank transfer is sent upon receipt of the funds, by writing to info@torrinijewels.com and stating the order number. The amount paid is refunded by the same means of payment within 14 days of receipt of the notice, net of the costs actually incurred by the Maison to receive and return the payment, which are indicated in the Order Confirmation and in any event do not exceed: 5% of the amount for payments by card or PayPal; €100 for bank transfers from accounts outside the SEPA area. Bank transfers from accounts within the SEPA area are refunded in full.
Within the same period, the Client may request in writing a change to the order specifications, for example the addition of an engraving; where the Maison confirms it, the 48 hours run anew from the written confirmation of the final specifications.
Upon expiry of the 48 hours, dedicated production begins and the order becomes final. This right is granted by the Maison to all Clients, wherever they reside, on a contractual basis; it neither constitutes nor replaces the right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts, described in Section 3.
3. Consumers residing in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: right of withdrawal
Under Article 59(c) of the Italian Consumer Code (implementing Directive 2011/83/EU) and the corresponding provisions in force in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized.
Torrini Creations (non-prefabricated goods, made to order in the configuration selected or agreed upon and, where provided for, in the size indicated by the Client) fall within this category, earrings included. The Client is so informed before purchasing, on each product page and in the cart, through the mandatory confirmation of acceptance of the Terms, and the exclusion is restated in the Order Confirmation.
The right to cancel within 48 hours (Section 2) and the legal guarantee of conformity (Section 6) remain unaffected.
4. All other destinations
For Clients residing outside the territories indicated in Section 3, all sales of Creations made to order are final ("all sales are final on made-to-order pieces"), except for the right to cancel within 48 hours under Section 2. Once that period has elapsed, orders cannot be canceled and Creations cannot be returned, subject only to any mandatory provisions that may apply in the Client's country of residence.
5. Size
Each Creation is made in the size indicated by the Client at the time of the order, which constitutes a production specification. The Maison does not guarantee that the size can be altered once the Creation has been made: many Creations, by the nature of how they are made, do not allow it, and where technically possible the alteration is limited. The Client is asked to check the size carefully before ordering, using the size guide and the Maison's pre-purchase advisory service (info@torrinijewels.com); sizes not listed may be requested by email before placing the order.
Should the size received prove unsuitable, the Maison is available to assist the Client: any size adjustments, where technically feasible, are assessed case by case, at the Maison's discretion, on the conditions communicated to the Client before the work is carried out, and do not constitute a contractual obligation (Terms, Article 13.2). The costs of insured shipping, both ways, and any import duties and taxes relating to sending the Creation for adjustment and to its return are borne exclusively by the Client, who is informed of this before shipping. The foregoing does not apply where the Creation was not made in the size indicated at the time of the order, in which case the legal guarantee of conformity applies (Section 6).
6. Lack of conformity
Nothing in the foregoing limits in any way the legal guarantee of conformity (Terms, Article 12).
To report a suspected defect, the Client writes to info@torrinijewels.com stating the order number and attaching photographs. The Maison reviews the photographs and, where the defect appears plausible, arranges insured pickup at its own expense; having examined the Creation, where the lack of conformity is confirmed, it applies the remedies provided by law. If the examination of the Creation reveals no lack of conformity, the pickup and return shipping costs are borne by the Client, who is informed of this before pickup. The outcome of the examination is communicated to the Client in writing, with the reasons; it does not prejudice the rights granted to the Consumer by law and, in the event of disagreement, the Client may resort to the procedures referred to in Article 17 of the Terms. For professional Clients (Terms, Article 15), shipping costs are borne by the Client.
Slight variations inherent in the handwork and the natural characteristics of the gemstones, disclosed before purchase (Terms, Article 4.5), do not constitute a lack of conformity; the legal guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, improper use or work carried out by third parties.
7. Damage upon delivery
If the package shows signs of damage or tampering at the time of delivery, the Client is asked to point this out to the carrier and to contact the Maison promptly at info@torrinijewels.com (Shipping Policy, Section 6). Every shipment is insured through to delivery.
8. Contact
For any question about cancellation, returns or the guarantee, the Client may contact the Maison by email at info@torrinijewels.com or by telephone at +39 055 2302401.
